Capital City Smoke Shop Mural

 

Inspired by the iconic Moai statues of Easter Island, this mural was created for Capital City Smoke in Austin, Texas, with the goal of bringing a positive and memorable landmark to the surrounding community.

The design blends contemporary street art with retro gaming influences. The storefront's existing LED cross and circular leaf sign reminded me of the classic PlayStation controller icons, which inspired the directional graphics leading visitors toward the entrance. To further strengthen the nostalgic feel, I used an Atari-inspired horizon stripe and star-filled background, creating a playful retro atmosphere.
